Before You Begin Classes

You will need to complete the following tasks before you begin classes. Select each task to view instructions.

.) Activate MyDU: MyDU is DU’s single-sign-in secure portal for registration, grades, personal information, transcripts and financial aid. Log in using your Student ID number and your temporary password (your six-digit birthday MMDDYY). For more information on your DU ID, contact DU IT . Once you are logged in, explore the portal. Make sure to sign the Financial Responsibility Agreement Found under the Student Tab and complete the Professional and Academic Standards Agreement.

.) Set Up Your DU Email: You will receive all official communication through your DU email address.

.) Order ALL Official Transcripts: Turn in your official transcripts as soon as possible or a hold could be placed on your account, which would prevent you from registering for classes next term.

.) Apply for Financial Aid: Use this checklist as a guide to complete your application for financial aid.

.) Connect with Student Success: You will receive a Welcome Call from your Student Success Advisor (SSA) within 2 business days of enrollment. During this call, you will go over the basics for getting started and receive an overview of the orientation process.

.) Register for Classes: Follow these instructions to register for classes on MyDU.

.) Complete Orientation Course on Digital Campus: The Student Success Course outlines important programmatic information, resources, and technical information in order to best prepare you for week 1 of classes.

.) Purchase Course Materials: Use these instructions to order course materials.

.) Order Your DU Student ID: You’ll use your DU Student ID to receive student discounts and to identify yourself when interacting with University resources.

.) Prepare for Your Field Internship: Each student works with a Field Placement Specialist to secure two required internships during the program. For additional information, visit the Field Internship FAQ page.

.) Review Important Contacts: Save this list of important contacts, resources and departments.

.) Bookmark Student Resources: Review the list of Student Success recommended bookmarks, including the schedule of classes, Digital Campus and du.edu.
