Check for Holds on Your Account

Each academic year, you will be required to sign the Financial Responsibility Agreement (also known as the Billing Agreement).

In addition, GSSW requires you to sign the Academic and Professional Standards Agreement before you start your first quarter in the program. Failure to sign these documents will prevent you from registering for classes.

To remove the Financial Responsibility or “Billing Agreement” hold:

  1. Log in to MyDU.
  2. Navigate to the Student tab.
  3. Click on “My Statement.”
  4. Sign the Financial Responsibility Agreement (or “Billing Agreement”).

To remove the Academic and Professional Standards Agreement hold:

  1. Log in to MyDU
  2. Click the MyWeb (Banner self-service)
  3. Click Student
  4. Click Student Records
  5. Click GSSW Academic Standards Agreement
  6. Read the agreement, enter the passcode, and submit

Quick Tip: You can also use the search bar at the top of MyDU to locate the Academic and Professional Standards Agreement

Register for Classes in MyDU

The Curriculum Overview provided by your Student Success Advisor will indicate the courses you’ll need to take each quarter according to your program track.

Use these step-by-step instructions to register for classes.

  1. Log in to MyDU using your student ID (nine-digit number) and password.
  2. Click on the Student tab at the top. Under Registration Tools, select “Registration.”
  3. Select the term for which you’d like to register.
  4. To search for MSW@Denver online-specific courses, enter the following criteria:
    • College: Social Work
    • Attribute: DU@2U Distance (the search should return the list of classes currently available for the selected term)
    • To narrow your search to a specific course, fill in the Course Number criteria with the 4-Digit Course Number. Example: to view all offered sections of SOWK 4132 (Power, Privilege and Oppression), enter “4132” in the Course Number criteria section.
  5. To add a section to your Current Course Selection, select the “Add” button on the right side of the line. This section will now be added to your Summary (located in the bottom-right corner). Repeat this process to register for all courses.
  6. Once you have added all of your desired sections (class times), review the course(s) you want to add and click “Submit” to complete the registration process.

Please see below for a list of required courses to take in your first term based on your program length.
